Terms of Service

Resumate (“we”, “us”) provides a self-serve resume workspace: editing, scoring, letters, and job matching against public company postings. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Your content

You own the resume, letter, and other content you create or upload. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the product (including AI-assisted drafting when you request it).

2. No application on your behalf

We do not submit job applications for you. Job links open the employer’s own site. Applying, interviewing, and any employer communication are your responsibility.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure. You may change your login email after verifying the new address. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Plans and billing

Free and Pro features are described on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed in USD by Stripe. Subscriptions renew until canceled. When you cancel, Pro access continues until the end of the paid period (end-of-period downgrade).

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to other users’ private resumes.
  • Do not use the service to send spam or impersonate employers.
  • Do not reverse-engineer or overload our APIs beyond normal product use.
  • Do not upload content you do not have rights to use.

6. AI features

AI draft and rewrite features may produce inaccurate text. You must review all output before using it. We do not guarantee employer outcomes or “ATS pass rates.”

7. Public resume links

Resumes stay private until you publish a public link. You control contact-field visibility. Unpublishing removes public access. Public pages are served with noindex by default.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is.” Job listings come from third-party public boards and may be incomplete or outdated. We are not an employer or employment agency.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
